What's the difference in the different model numbers on JD compact tractors?I have an 870. How does it differ from an 850 or 855? I'm sure there must be some particulars that are common between the models like 800's, 900's and the 1000 series. You can tell I'm new to this. I just bought the JD and it's 41 years newer than my old 2N. I've been missing out on alot of features for several years?Thanks

The 870 is a newer version than the 850 tractor with some updated features. The 855 was being sold the same time as the 870, but the 855 is a smaller unit with hydrostatic transmisssion. ....

I just bought an 870 w/900 hrs. It has a 72" belly mower. I just love it. It handles so well. I thought it would be too big, but it is amazing. Have fun w/yours. ....
